MAY 2008 Beaver Dams in Denver

So far this year I've come across two Beaver Dams on my rides.

One on Bear Creek:

Here's some more recent pictures of the Bear Creek Dam, looks like it's bigger now.

This is the one I found on Sand Creek:

So I'd say the Beavers are doing ok.

Here's a tree I found in the park at the confluence of Clear Creek and the Platte River. Other trees had metal fences around the trunks. Busy Beavers.
